Part 1: Peer Modelling and Willingness to Communicate

This study explores whether short near-peer role model videos can increase learners’ willingness to communicate (WTC) during task-based discussion activities. Drawing on classroom data from Japanese university students, results show a small but consistent increase in WTC following video exposure, suggesting that simple pre-task modelling can meaningfully influence participation.

Part 2: Using AI Image Tasks: A Hands-on Workshop

Participants will experience and evaluate a ready-to-use classroom task with AI-supported output. You will complete the task from a student perspective, reflect on its impact, and consider how to adapt it for your own teaching context.
